New Wine Series-Wine Steward Brian Kemmerle discusses Adlesheim Pinot Blanc

Adelsheim 2007 Willamette Valley Pinot Blanc. We can thank David Adelsheim himself for bringing Pinot Blanc to Oregon. He facilitated the import of the vines from Alsace back in 1976. The grapes for this wine, planted in 1993 at the Bryan Creek Vineyard, shows a bright citrus character with melon, peach and floral aromas. Some weight to the mid-palate balances out a nicely crisp zingy finish. Imagine a cross between a good New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and a nice Oregon Pinot Gris. Match this wine with our northwest Manila clams or our Quinault Razors. We have it available on Bentley’s wine list.bentleys-and-pgh-cd-002
