Has Expanded To Three Days!
Salem, OR – June 25, 2009 – The 2009 EOFF Electric Supply July 4th Celebration, held annually at Riverfront Park in downtown Salem, has expanded to a three-day event, Friday through Sunday, July 3-5. Family-friendly entertainment, live music, food and beverage booths, a huge classic and antique car show, and the Funtastic Shows Carnival are spread over the three-day EOFF Electric Supply July 4th Celebration.
Also new for 2009, fireworks spread over two nights, Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. The EOFF Electric Supply July 4th Celebration will produce the largest ever fireworks display at Riverfront Park!
Friday night’s headline entertainment includes Vancouver, WA, recording artist Carrie Cunningham and the Six Shooters. Branching out as a solo performer and Nashville Songwriters Association Member, Carrie has opened for numerous national acts such as Sugarland, Mark Wills, Keith Anderson, and Heidi Newfield. Carrie Cunningham and the Six Shooters are scheduled to perform at 6:30 p.m. on the Riverfront Park Amphitheater Stage.
Friday night entertainment continues with Salem’s own “High Point.” High Point is made up of Salem natives Mark Melnichuk, Shane Hall, and John Baldwin. Enjoy rocking music from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and today!
Earl Wear & Haywire(Coeur d lane, Idaho) performs Saturday night, July 4, on the Amphitheater Stage. Earl and his band, Haywire, have been playing together for over 12 years and have performed with over 50 national country recording artists such as Blake Shelton, Mark Chesnutt, Tracey Lawrence, Phil Vassar, and Keith Anderson. Re-released in 2008, “Walking to Wyoming” spent 35 weeks in the top 5 on the Independent Music Network’s Country Charts including 19 weeks at #1! Their most recent hit, “She Calls Everybody Honey” is climbing the independent country charts. This popular full-time touring band “knows how to keep their crowd entertained and the dance floor full!”
Opening for Earl Wear & Haywire is Coyote Creek. Coyote Creek (Salem, Oregon), regularly tours the Northwest and has performed at the Pendleton Round-Up, Spokane Interstate Fair, Sisters Rodeo, and has opened for national acts such as Kellie Pickler, Hal Ketchum, and Bucky Covington. Coyote Creek is how the Northwest does Country!
Also performing on Saturday, July 4, is Brady Goss(Wallowa, Oregon). Brady Goss, a 19-year old piano phenom, won the 2008 Oregon State Fair Talent Show. Brady will awe the crowd with his formidable keyboards and soulful vocals. Brady plays, Blues, Classic Rock, 50’s and 60’s Hits, and Country. “His unique and improvisational style makes him a truly one-of-a-kind performer!”
The EOFF Electric Supply July 4th Celebration has added two acts to complete the most family-friendly, three-day, Independence Day celebration in the Willamette Valley. Beginning at 2:30 p.m. local favorite Virtual Ground will perform on the Riverfront Park Amphitheater Stage. Their mix of classic rock and roll hits will energize the Sunday crowds.
At 4:30 p.m., Portland’s “hottest salsa band”, Afincando, will have event participants dancing, grooving, and smiling through the end of the event!
In addition, the Funtastic Shows Carnival will offer a wristband special, Sunday only, July 5. The purchase of a Funtastic Shows Carnival wristband includes:
- Unlimited carnival rides from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.
- $3 in game tickets
- $1 food ticket
Bring your family and friends, lawn chairs and blankets, and join us for the greatest and most family-friendly Independence Day celebration in the mid-Willamette Valley. A suggested donation of $3 per adult will be accepted at entry gates with the proceeds going to sustaining the EOFF Electric Supply July 4th Celebration for years to come.
